“ Great meal. I was a chef in a North Jersey restaurant. She and her staff pull it off beyond belief. Kick ass! Great meal. ”
“ The food and service was absolutely lovely! Very charming atmosphere as well. The only negative was the Tira misu was a skimpy portion fornthe price. ”
“ I catered Via Toscana's Italian specialties for a wedding rehearsal/ Welcome dinner. All the food was ready and HOT at the designated time. The food was delicious! i was very pleased with everything I ordered and so were my 70 guests. Kelsey, the catering manager, was very easy to work with and accommodating. I called her long distance from California to plan the event. She graciously answered all my questions and made very helpful suggestions. I highly recommend Via Toscana. ”
“ I somehow have never been here but ventured to Louisville with a friend and wow- what a treat. First of all, if you are celiac but also love Italian food- this is the place for you. They have an entire gluten free menu ready for you so that you don't have to search for the risotto and just go with that because it's likely the only gluten free option on the menu. Nope. Not here! There is an entire menu of deliciousness waiting for you. That said, the chefs special just so happened to be a risotto with scallops so I obviously went with that. It was divine. I don't think I've ever described seafood in a landlocked state that way, but it's true. It was. Speaking of divine, the chocolate moose dessert is a true must have. I woke up this morning still thinking about it. They have a wide selection of wine- so you wine lovers won't be disappointed. A friend recommended the house Chianti and you won't be surprised to hear that I loved that as well. This will be a place I visit often! It is a little more on the pricey side but I'd say definitely worth it. Highly recommend and not something I would ever expect based on its strip mall location. ”
“ Wow, what a hidden gem. From all the rest of the reviews you can probably tell that this was a great restaurant in an unexpected location. So unassuming from the parking lot but once you walk in, it feels like you've been transported to Italy and not a strip mall in Louisville. We had such a wonderful time that I felt the need to come and drop them a review on Yelp. We walked in on a Friday evening without a reservation and was immediately seated. Matt, our server, provided impeccable, attentive service and was great to chat with. He made really amazing recommendations and made us feel welcomed and heard. His service was top-notch. Our meal was so delicious, the complimentary focaccia bread was warm, dense and soft.... I really love the bread. A lot of my favorite Italian restaurants in town have been skipping providing warm bread (usually cold), so it's a nice touch when I see them taking extra care. We loved everything we had. Mushroom Bisque (soup of the day) was amazing, creamy and a perfect pairing to the focaccia. The Wild Mushroom Risotto was perfectly done. I was surprised at the Pappardelle Bolognese as it's not minced meat but chunks of beef and pork in a creamy tomato sauce, tasted very much like a thick stew than a sauce - never had any Bolognese like this before and definitely a fan. I never thought I'd have a full vegetarian meal but the Baked Eggplant Parmesan really knocked my socks off. The butternut squash pairing was really delicious. Overall we had a great experience, amazing food, beautiful atmosphere and we'll definitely be back. This will be on our rotation from now on. Thanks Matt for your service! ”
“ All around great meal! We went for Denver restaurant week so I've only tried their special menu. But it was delicious!! The first course I had was a caesar salad which was a good size for an appetizer. The second course was salmon with a delicious cauliflower purée and pistachio crust on the salmon. And for dessert I got tiramisu. The tiramisu wasn't my favorite that I've had. It had almost too much whipped cream on top and no chocolate which is what I'm used to. Otherwise everything was great! The server was very nice and helpful. And the space is beautiful inside! You'd never expect it was in a strip mall. I will definitely be back! ”
“ Via Toscana is a busy restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere, offering classic Tuscan cuisine and an impressive wine list. The location in a strip mall is unexpected, but that means easy parking. Service is attentive and when I've visited Via Toscana a few times with groups, they always try to accommodate us, finding a quieter area in the restaurant for book club as an example (they take reservations). Last time, I started with the Lemon Drop, a very refreshing cocktail, and it's always nice to munch on their bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar that they bring as soon as you start looking at the menu. The food is also yummy, you can pick anything from pasta to pizza, including vegetarian options. Not much changes at Via Toscana over the years, and that's a good thing! ”
“ My hubby and I decided to stop in for dinner for something a little different. The service was absolutely wonderful and very attentive in a rather busy restaurant. We were tucked away in a cozy corner which was really nice. We had a margarita with extra lime along with a Sauvignon Blanc... And we enjoyed the linguine marinara along with the pappadelle bolognese. Both dishes were delicious. The portions were really good and we ended up taking dinner home... We definitely will be back and it's really nice that it's really close to home you can't go wrong with a very wonderful menu and an extremely well rounded wine list ”
